I am a PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University advised by Theo Benson. My research focuses on systems observability. We have been using eBPF to enrich application traces and metrics with data from the underlying compute stack (e.g., kernel) to yield higher quality insights for troubleshooting.
During my time at MSR I worked with Jon Mace in building an LLM-assisted tool for data integration which infers semantics of telemetry data across different schemas and uses this unified understanding to enable natural-language querying.
Previously I also worked on distributed tracing for severely constrained programmable networks (good old P4) with Theo and my MSc advisor Alberto Schaeffer-Filho.
